Eric Carle - Author Study

Spotlight friend sharing his special items.
This Brown Bear game involved finding matches.
One group of friends had the color word
and the other group had the picture.

Pattern caterpillars.
Red, green, red, green....representing the hungry caterpillar.

We started working on our Brown Bear little readers.
You will find this in their reading folders. We will continue working
on them next week as well.

After reading, "The Tiny Seed," We created our own flowers.
I enjoy allowing our friends to create their own art.
I do provide a model, however, I don't expect them all to look alike.
(You can find them displayed in the hallway.)

Hole punching leaves.
These leaves look like caterpillars have been eating them.

"F" day items.
Sometimes a friend insists on being the teacher.
Who am I to say No? 😊
Finding the letter F in our snacks.

The music station on the playground.

"What do you see in the clouds?"
We created our own symmetrical images after reading,
" Little cloud."

Y-e-l-l-o-w spells yellow...We practiced singing, writing the word,
and reading the sentence. Afterwards, we practiced counting and
following directions with a dot maker activity.
We read the story about the chameleon who wanted to
have a color of his own. We asked our friends what do they like
about themselves.
