Falling Leaves

This activity was the kid-inspired art
I mentioned in the newsletter.
Some friends colored with markers
and chalk.

Some friends traced around their leaf
and made a "leaf-monster."

They started pouring their own water
at snack time.  We had a couple little spills
but it was worth it. When they spill, they also
learn to pick up the spill with some paper towels.

They are tearing little pieces of construction
paper to create "leaves" for their fall trees.

Reading from our sight word little readers.
This week we focused on sight word "a" and " I."

B is for bouncing balloons with pink paint.
We sorted some of our leaves.
Counted them. Then, identified the biggest
and smallest leaves.
"Look at my square, teacher!"
"Look at my star I made!"
