Pond Life

This week was going to be all about life at the pond.

Do NOT feel like you have to do anything.  However, if you want too, I'll provide a few ideas.

First, lets talk about FROGS.

Do you have a creek or pond nearby you can look for frogs? Take a walk there after watching this video about the life cycle of a frog.

Here is a link to a video about frogs and metamorphosis...

Some of you have caterpillars.  Here is a link about the metamorphosis of a butterfly...

Our sight word for the week was Will.
Can you find some small sticks and make the word WILL with them?

Our letter of the week was Qq.
Can you find some smooth rocks and use chalk to practice writing the letter Q?

Our color of the week is gray.
What can you find outside that is gray? Can you find a bird that is gray? Or, what is that little critter scurrying around that is gray?

Feel like getting your hands dirty? Make your own mini pond!
Find a container. Fill it with dirt, rocks, water, and other loose parts around the yard.
Make it your own.

I will attach couple things you can download for the rainy days to the email I sent with this blog link.
