Spiders, Skeletons, and Silly Monsters

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures this week due to assessments.
However, we stayed busy!

We learned the official names of some of our bones.
Ask your child, "Why do we have a rib cage?
"What does the spine do?"

We discussed spiders facts and fears.
How many legs does a spider have? How many eyes? What do spiders eat?

We also had relevant conversations on how to be brave. Ask your child
if they can tell you about the brave hero's from our bible stories, Gideon and Daniel.

Sharing our pumpkins they worked on with you at home.

Monster creations.
They had to crinkle fold the arms and legs of their monster.
This is good practice that works the small muscles in their hands.
It helps prepare their hands for writing.

We worked out an ABAB pattern.
Also, we practiced writing letter S and number 7.

This is how we made silly monsters.
They blew air through the straw to move the
watercolor across the paper. Then, we added eye stickers.
If you look closely to the picture, you can see
they had to work a dropper. This is good small motor practice.
It's not as easy as it looks. They had to get enough, but not too much.
