Community Helpers

We want to give a big thank you to the mom's who stopped in to share their occupations with us.  It was neat for the children to have you share what you do with us.

Sharing letter O items from home.

Counting how many teeth they glue on their mouths.

Writing letters and their names with
toothbrushes in shaving cream.

Devotional time.
This week we talked about the love Jesus had for Zacchaeus
and the woman at the well.  We had a conversation that even though we are different
from each other (Zacchaeus being a tax collector and short / the woman at the well
being a Samaritan) we are still loved by God.
We should also love others in the same way.

Dr.Chris Jenkins visited us and demonstrated
healthy teeth habits.

Some future career hopefuls...

Our neighborhood realtor mom.
She told them about selling houses.
She talked to them about how much she loves to find
homes for our families. She got our friends talking
about the houses they live in, which in turn, lead to an enthusiastic
conversation of how many bedrooms they have.
This nurse mom brought in some of her nursing tools and
demonstrated how to use a stethoscope, band-aids, face masks,
thermometer, and gloves.  She even brought in neat viles of different sizes.

Also, a blood pressure machine.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Drawing our community

Putting out the fires

A little construction work of hammering tees
into the letters on the styrofoam.

Reading little readers about different careers

Gluing different shapes to make
a community building.

Playing a number game

Sharing special items.

Working on beginning sounds

Working on stamping letters of their names
and sight word " it."
